Marly's Choice, Lora Leigh

Blurb:

Marly’s love for Cade has spanned her teenage years, and survived strong and intact into womanhood. Her fantasies and daydreams have sustained her, but she’s no longer content with merely imagining the touch of his hands, the taste of his kiss. It’s time to seduce the tough, sexy cowboy.
She’s heard the rumors for years, the tales of his sexual preferences. She’s prepared herself to accept his desires. Prepared her body for his touch. But she wasn’t prepared for the choice to come…
Cade’s dark desires, his sexual excesses are based in the past. In a time when pain, shame, and blood stains his very soul. He carries a secret shared only with his brothers. A secret that has scarred the bond, the ability to be a brother or to accept the love of the men he was raised with. He knows the only way to prove his loyalty, his love for those brothers and Marly will be the key.
She has a choice. She can surrender to Cade’s needs, his soul deep desires, or she can walk away. A choice only Marly can make. A choice that will change her life forever.

First, I have to say that Lora's books were the first romance book I've read and up until now I've never read a book by her that I didn't love. All of her books are great and I've fell in love with all of her heroes and heroines.
Now, 'Marly's Choice'... I've read it right after I've finished the Bound Hearts series. I have to admit, the cover was the one that caught my attention. I mean, seriously, three guys and one woman? I was very intrigued by that. So I started reading it. At first I thought Cade was so... cocky, so stubborn and proud. But as I got to know him better, I understood that he was afraid of emotions, of hurting himself and his brothers and the woman he loved. He is an Alpha male, all the way to his bones. I loved him and in a way I admired him for trying to ignore his feelings to protect Marly. But his feelings are so powerful, that he can't ignore them anymore. The only thing left is hoping that the past won't won't make her run from him.
Marly's feelings for Cade have been growing since she first saw him. He was her hero, the person who loved her and cherished her most. Her family wasn't a normal one, so she saw in him the very things she never really had: a father, a brother, an uncle, a lover and a friend. She's so in love with him, she didn't even let another man touch her. She is as strong and as stubborn as Cade is, so it's not a surprise that she made him ignore all the warning alarms sounding in his head and take her. After that, she has to make a choice. Does she want to have Cade entirely by accepting his brothers, Brock and Sam, or not.
Will she accept him or will her fears make her run? That's for you to find out ;)

Fantasy Lover, Sherrilyn Kenyon

Synopsis:

For the last 2,000 years Julian of Macedon has been cursed to live his life as a love slave--serving the sexual needs of a different woman every month of the year. When he is summoned to fulfill the fantasies of sex therapist Grace Alexander, she senses his pain and comes to see him as more than a mere sex machine. Will Grace's true love free Julian at last?

I read this book about two weeks ago while struggling with the materials I needed to study for my exams. I really wanted to resist reading it. Not because I didn't like the subject, on the contrary. The first time I heard about it I was fascinated by it. I had a lot of reasons: first, I had to study; second, I wanted to finish all the others series I "abandoned" with the beggining of the summer. But, like always, curiosity won. And I'm glad it did!
I can't say enough about the book. I really feel like words can't describe it. While reading it I started to remember all those history classes I thought were boring at the time. As a teenager, during those classes I kept wondering if those ancient generals were as handsome as they seemed to have been and if they had white or black horses, like in the fairy tales. This book made me become a teenager all over again.
If there are perfect heroes, I think Julian is one of them. He's hansome, smart, stubborn, gentle... I'd make an entire list of his qualities but I know you have to found out for yourselves about it.
Grace... What can I say about her? Grace is the perfect heroine: smart, pretty, funny, stubborn sometimes. She shies away from relationships because of a past relationship that ended really bad.
So there you go...you have the Greek, handsome general and the modern day heroine. How could you not love this book?
